Salford Royal is host to both the North West Diabetes Local Research Network and the North West Stroke Local Research Network. The Trust also works with DeNDRoN North West (Dementia and Neurodegenerative Disease Research Network) to support research into neurological disorders.

Trust staff are supported by DeNDRoN to carry out a number of studies through Salford Royal’s specialist Neurosciences department.

The Greater Manchester Comprehensive Local Research Network (CLRN) is one of 25 CLRNs across England which form part of the NIHR Comprehensive Clinical Research Network (CCRN). CCRN provides support for clinical trials and other well designed studies in all areas of disease and clinical need.
